Camp Down by the River
Before there was a cabin, before even a road proper, we camped down by the river. And what a river it is. At times the Winooski River is low, meandering and quiet, other times, after the rains, it is a raging monster, pushing against its banks, and at times overflowing, as it did in 2023 and 2024. Our RVs were on the hill, away from the water at our alternate camping spaces.

Trinity Cabot Campground
Above you see a view of one of our waterfalls. The Winooski River flows to the west here, before it turns south at our camp, toward Marshfield, Plainfield and Montpelier.
If you ever wanted a spot in late-spring, all summer long and into the fall, this is the place. The grass is greener, the air is fresher, and the water trickles or rushes by. The Town of Cabot allows each landowner in town three camp spots. Three RVs, an RV and two tents, a van, a tent and an RV, you get the idea.
Contact us if you'd like to stay with us by the river. $35/night, $225/week or $700 for a month. Good to stay from May 1st until Halloween, at that point (October 31), we close up the camp, drain the water lines and prepare for winter.
